Some of you might know that Air and myself are in a band called Radio Haze and like almost all independent artists, we had to compensate for the cancelled shows this year and thus locked ourselves up at Slash Zero Studio and recorded a new album:
available as 40-page-hardcover-photobook in vinyl format (ca. 30x30cm)
incl. photography by analog-street-photographer: Ludwig Van Borkum
incl. 180g Vinyl
incl. HQ 24bit WAV Download
Audiophile Anti-Loudness-War Mastering
STRICTLY LIMITED TO 300 COPIES
100 in eco-color (your name in the book, hand-numbered, and signed)
200 in black
Unfortunately the corona-year ate up all our reserves (in true sense of the word), and without trabajo, no dinero... To help fund this just click here and pre-order the new album! (For an alternate 'old-school' way of ordering, please contact Slash Zero Records!)
Thank you for your support of independent artists and music culture!
10 years ago Radio Haze released their 2nd album "The Growth"... By now the album has been remastered and is available on all streaming platforms, but there are still a few CDs left that contain the original master - if you subscribe to the newsletter till Dec 17, you'll get a CD for free (while supplies last)...
After lots of uncertainties and troubles (like almost every GumoManiacs album?), it is finally released: "Morbid Tales Of Terror" - produced here @Slash Zero Studio over the last 2 years. As always, it's Air & Hubi on Drums 'N' Bass and Gumo on Vocal & Guitar duties... More than worth a mention is the magnificent artwork of the great Andreas Marschall (who's famous for his work with Sodom, Kreator, or Blind Guardian, among loads of others). Get your CD copy now, as we don't know if there's a vinyl version in the nearest future...
Another interesting project I recently worked on: Upiór - and their new single is more than just "Reality 2020"... Give it a listen if you're into old school Death Metal... Here's the cast:
Tomasz Jaskula - guitars, music
Chris Bone - vocals, lyrics
Sebastian Stachowiak - keyboards
Hubi Hofmann - bass, mix/mastering
David Superior - drums
Finally "Songbook" by my Ohrange bros is released! We produced that beauty right before the big Corona bang in February @Slash Zero Studio. Unfortunately they cannot play a lot of shows this year, so please support them by purchasing their 180g limited purple vinyl as it is their 1st time on wax. After that go give 'em a stream while waiting for personal delivery!
Because of the current situation my Ohrange bros can't play their regular 100 shows a year, so they decided to release 100 videos instead. Here's #42 for this year: "Streichholz" (from their album "Songbook") - again filmed by the fabulous Tom Eberl, and if you look closely, you can catch a glimpse of Slash Zero Studio in the video [unfortunately one of my monitors crashed during the filming...]
bloodshed revolution is the name of the game
a path that's older than its breath
this world's out of disorder but the rules they stay the same
so join our legions of death
With those kind words about today's situation GumoManiacs release their new video "Legions Of Death" (filmed/cut by Hubi Hofmann, with a little help from Tom Eberl) from their upcoming album "Morbid Tales Of Terror" (which was, you guessed it, produced here @Slash Zero Studio). Watch the video, stream the Spotify, and then tell your friends...
This thing is so damn controversial you either love or hate it: My bros from Ohrange released a music video to "Denk An Mi..." (directed by action-shot.tv) from their last album "L[i]eben" (which was produced here @Slash Zero Studio). And for those of you who haven't been at the Kurve yet, check this out...
1986 - the year I was born, and the year my uncle Robert Porcodio was about my age. He used to play headless-bass (and wear this awesome orange jacket) in this legendary 80s power-ballad-band back then. Their legendary debut concept album "Argonaut Journey" sold platinum in Nicaragua and French Overseas Territories. After their song "Love Is Not Real" was not featured in the soundtrack for the movie "Top Gun", the record company stopped distributing "Isolation VII", which has become a bootlegged underground phenomenon ever since. Isolation was history, and history was forgotten. Finally Capitolism Records (those guys suck!) re-released "How Does It Feel" from "Isolation VII" to raise some money... well, at least they did something!
Today Radio Haze are releasing "The Psychoustic Sessions III" exclusively on 10" eco-colored vinyl with fancy booklet limited to 200 copies. I produced, recorded, mixed, mastered, played bass, guitar, rhodes, sitar, hurt my fingers, sang, and made strange sounds, and had fun doing it. Air played cajon, bongos, some things that made rattling sounds, melodica, synth, sang and layouted Phil's artwork, who also guitared, drank, and sang on this record. Ah yeah, he also played a banana... (have you seen the 'making of' video?) You should definitely turn on and tune in, because the trilogy is now complete!
Radio Haze released a new video called "Have Mercy On Me" (directed by the legendary photographer/filmmaker Ludwig Van Borkum) today. Be sure to pre-order your copy of the ultra-limited, eco-colored "The Psychoustic Sessions III" 10" vinyl (which we recorded @Slash Zero Studio last year) before they're gone.
"3. Weltkrieg" is 5 years old today. 100 people made this special album possible WITHOUT ANY INTERNET ABUSE! It's still a mystery how SV could produce such a masterpiece in such a short amount of time (3 days - songwriting included). This was also the last record released on Hate 206045 Records before we went "professurnal" and changed our name to Slash Zero Records. Get your copy at Bandcamp - sorry folks, no streaming...
Zeiofsd!!! Our beloved "Klienkitein" album by Afraid Of Sheep (a supergroup with members from The Prosecution, Radio Haze and GumoManiacs) has its 5th anniversary - and in that honor, I remastered it and put it on Bandcamp for you to download (for free!). Of course you can still purchase the CD or stream it...
Friday Nov 9th: GumoManiacs release "Priest Of Lucifer X" - a 10th anniversary remake of their classic debut album - via Slash Zero Records. Hubi = Production & Bass | Air = Drums | Gumo = Vox & Guitars. You should definitely grab the limited 180g vinyl or check that one out on Spotify if you already liked the original (or if you haven't heard it at all), as this is what the album should have sounded like in the first place (but we haven't had the money and technical knowledge back then)...
