Today TG Copperfield (whom some of you may know from 3 Dayz Whizkey) releases his 2nd solo album entitled "The Worried Man" (which I co-produced, and Air, as part of TG's Electric Band, drummed on) via Time Zone Records. Be sure to check it out on Spotify or Amazon...

10th ANNIVERSARY: VITAMIN R
The first Radio Haze EP "Vitamin R" is 10 years old today. Time flies, man - I still remember working titles like "Fluffy Animals" and "Home Made Pie"... Of course the original handmade CD is long sold out, but you can get a remastered CD or stream it here.
BY ENDURANCE WE CONQUER
Oct 27th: I play bass in a Thrash Metal band called GumoManiacs, and they're releasing their 4th+5th studio album today, compiled under the name "By Endurance We Conquer - Demons & Damnation" (which I also produced @Slash Zero Studio) - via Ghost Town Noize. Why 2 CDs? Well, "Damnation" was recorded in 2014, but due to problems with the label at that time, wasn't ever released. These problems and other legal issues forced the band to further delay the release of their next album to 2017, and so both records were packed together on a double disc containing 20 tracks to celebrate the band's 10th anniversary. Finally you can get this piece of Thrash Metal history on CD or listen forever on Spotify!
LONG NIGHTS & BROKEN HEARTS / GET UP
Waiting For Summer just released their album "Long Nights & Broken Hearts" (which I mixed and mastered)! So if you like glossy Pop Punk: stream the songs and buy the CD!
And in addition to that, they're showing you their 3rd music video to the song "Get Up" (directed by Sebastian Brecht).
BLACK AND BLUE & BLAU UND WEIß
As our local Gillamoos in Abensberg went by, the world prepares for even more madness, destruction, and pain: Octoberfest!!! Not just here in Germany so called "beer fests" are hip again - also the US celebrate "beer madness" (sometimes even more than we do...). Thus our friends Dave, Brian & Andy visited us last year for Gillamoos and recorded their new EP "Black and Blue & Blau und Weiß" here @Slash Zero Studio and released it this year for the "beer season" - Check out real Party Punk Polka by the Bolzen Beer Band from Nebraska!
SUMMERTIME
And so Waiting For Summer release their 2nd video (again filmed by Schtifm) called "Summertime" (from the album "Long Nights & Broken Hearts" which I recently mixed and mastered). Now get yourself some ice cream!
DAS PFUH
Children's Rock is what they call their game and their name is KIZZRock... Their new album "Das Pfuh" (a strange hybrid of horse and cow) was partly recorded by Air and myself. If you have children, give them a listen and they'll rock out to "Meine Omma" (featuring Donikkl).

GUMOMANIACS VIDEOBLOG MANIA
GumoManiacs celebrate their 10th anniversary this year and will release the double album "By Endurance We Conquer - Demons & Damnation". To achieve this, and to maintain creative freedom from other labels and companies, they started a crowdfunding campaign with lots of interesting videos. Check 'em out - there are even more on their YouTube channel!
DYNAMIC RANGE DAY 2017
Today we'll commiserate all the "Loudness War" victims suffering from lifeless over-compression, reckless clipping, heavy limiting, and other unwanted distortion effects, and honor those who were brave enough to let their recordings breathe the necessary air they're supposed to have to create a nice dynamic journey for all audiophiles and music lovers! Let's hope that some day (real soon) all those victims will be re-released with a more user-friendly sound aesthetic. Give peaks a chance!
p.s.: Ah yeah, please spread the word and join Ian Shepherd's webcast or check the Dynamic Range Day website for more information!
INGA LINDSTRÖM 67
Today you can watch the whole Inga Lindström movie called "Tanz Mit Mir" on ZDF 8pm. My good friend Christoph Zirngibl composed the score, and several other good musicians played on some of the tracks. Here's the cast:
Stephan Ebn: drums / percussion
Hubi Hofmann: bass
Luke Cyrus: guitars
Deryn Cullen: cello
Ian Smith: sax / clarinet / flute
E-Session-Strings: strings
Christoph Zirngibl: piano and everything else
2016 PLAYLIST
I decided to create yearly Spotify playlists for people to get inspired by music that I found worth listening to in 2016, because besides creating music, I am also a music-listener and -lover... So here it is: the TOP5 Albums of 2016 compiled to a playlist that fits on 2 sides of vinyl (because that's my format of choice)!
CRASHING THIS PARTY
So this cool new Pop Punk band called Waiting For Summer from around the corner filmed their 1st video single "Crashing This Party" (from the album "Long Nights & Broken Hearts" which I mixed and mastered recently) with our good friend Schtifm. Give them a thumb!
ENTER Ø WORLD
This is the first blog post. From now on I'm gonna write about things that are somehow related to me, myself, my brother, our record label, or our studio, so if you're interested in following along and getting access to my world, you're welcome. I'd rather tell these stories to you in person, but chances are that I don't know you personally, or that I haven't had enough time to meet you in person for some time, so I'm gonna write them here for you to read anyway.
So let's start with some history:
Because our label at the time (GoldenCore / ZYX Music) fucked up the CD release of our band GumoManiacs' "Out Of Disorder" album and we were bound to a contract that didn't allow us to look for other labels, I decided to release the LP version on my own, so that's basically the beginning of Slash Zero Records. And to the date, exactly one year after we released that record (Dec 11th, 2015) I'm writing this first blog post here. So technically speaking it's SZR's 1st birthday today - and as a birthday present, I will now officially unveil this website to the world.
