Viewing: Slash Zero Records - View all posts
Some of you might know that Air and myself are in a band called Radio Haze and like almost all independent artists, we had to compensate for the cancelled shows this year and thus locked ourselves up at Slash Zero Studio and recorded a new album:
available as 40-page-hardcover-photobook in vinyl format (ca. 30x30cm)
incl. photography by analog-street-photographer: Ludwig Van Borkum
incl. 180g Vinyl
incl. HQ 24bit WAV Download
Audiophile Quality Dynamic Anti-Loudness-War Mastering
STRICTLY LIMITED TO 300 COPIES
100 in eco-color (your name in the book, hand-numbered, and signed)
200 in black
Unfortunately the corona-year ate up all our reserves (in true sense of the word), and without trabajo, no dinero... To help fund this just click here and pre-order the new album! (For an alternate 'old-school' way of ordering, please contact Slash Zero Records!)
Thank you for your support of independent artists and music culture!
Slash Zero Records have the honor to release the latest MASS album "Still Chained" (which contains 13 re-recordings their classics from 1973 - 1987 plus 2 new songs) on vinyl! As I wrote earlier this year, I recorded parts of this ship, and even got to mix and master it. You can order your copy at their Bandcamp store - but be warned: a band that already sold 200k units before will easily sell out the strictly limited run of 500 double-LPs on 180g red translucent vinyl (with etching on side D) in a nice gatefold pretty fast...
Friday Nov 9th: GumoManiacs release "Priest Of Lucifer X" - a 10th anniversary remake of their classic debut album - via Slash Zero Records. Hubi = Production & Bass | Air = Drums | Gumo = Vox & Guitars. You should definitely grab the limited 180g vinyl or check that one out on Spotify if you already liked the original (or if you haven't heard it at all), as this is what the album should have sounded like in the first place (but we haven't had the money and technical knowledge back then)...
The legendary Young Fast Running Man releases his 2nd album "Young Bird" (which I produced, and together with my bro Air contributed lots of instruments to) via Slash Zero Records today. You should definitely check it out on Spotify or get the strictly limited vinyl!
And because that's not enough, another record's coming out this day:
Old School Punks Grape celebrate their new EP "Justylied" (which I also produced) today at Rocket Club Landshut. It's released via 30 Kilo Fieber Records and True Trash - you can order it here or listen on Spotify!
My good friend Andy Kneitinger (under the moniker of Illegal I) released his debut album "Illegal Eye" (which I produced and played bass on) via Slash Zero Records. If you like to support him, please take a listen on Spotify or get your copy at Bandcamp!
And because that's not enough for today, our befriended band Insert Coin also released their album "Way Out" via Uncle M on that particular day! Check it out on Spotify and listen to Simon (from The Prosecution) helping 'em out on vocals (which I recorded @Slash Zero Studio) on the song "Sidetracked"...
So let's start with some history:
Because our label at the time (GoldenCore / ZYX Music) fucked up the CD release of our band GumoManiacs' "Out Of Disorder" album and we were bound to a contract that didn't allow us to look for other labels, I decided to release the LP version on my own, so that's basically the beginning of Slash Zero Records. And to the date, exactly one year after we released that record (Dec 11th, 2015) I'm writing this first blog post here. So technically speaking it's SZR's 1st birthday today - and as a birthday present, I will now officially unveil this website to the world.
